WHO WE ARE
Emerald Metal Products, established in 1991, provides quality installation and fabrication of custom sheet metal products including flashings, louvers, expansion joint, metal roof and wall panels, composite panels, Trespa© and KingSpan© panels, sun shades, and skylights. Sheet metal products are produced from galvanized steel, aluminum, stainless steel, perforated steel and copper as well as prefinished metals.
A small, family-owned business where reputation is key, Emerald Metal Products services Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Ventura counties. With over 45 years of sheet metal industry experience, its management prides itself on providing superior workmanship, excellent service and solutions to challenging design issues.
Project types include both private and public works projects, commercial, industrial, retail, education, religious and tenant improvement.
MANAGEMENT
Dale Gronewold
President
Business owner since inception of the company, Dale Gronewold’s knowledge of sheet metal construction standards and solutions is extensive. A product of the sheet metal apprenticeship program, Dale soon advanced to journeyman, working on large projects such as Westside Mall in West Los Angeles and Burbank Mall, running crews of over 20 individuals.
He and his partner soon established Emerald Metal Products in 1991 where he expanded his responsibilities to include estimating, project and material management, drafting and personnel management. He holds a C-43 contractor’s license and is certified in welding, Trespa©, Kingspan©, and Zip Rib panel installation. Additionally, compliance with SMACNA and OSHPD regulations is of utmost importance and he utilizes his expertise in the field to find creative and unconventional solutions to design issues.
In his free time, along with his wife and four children, Dale enjoys watersports and driving his Hallett boat at the river.
Scott Gronewold
Vice-President
Originally, with a background in cabinet making, Scott Gronewold joined Emerald Metal Products – his family’s business – in 1994. He developed his sheet metal skills in the field and quickly rose to the position of Field Supertintendent, supervising crews on such jobs as Northridge Hospital (Acrovyn and sheet metal), St. John Eudes (copper roofs and sheet metal) and Stark Villa (metal panels).
He became Vice President and joint owner of the company in 2006 upon the retirement of one previous owner. At that time, he transitioned from field work into estimating and project management. He applies his first hand knowledge of sheet metal installation and techniques, as well as installation of Acrovyn/wall protection, expansion joint, louvers, and skylights to the projects he bids and subsequently runs. Scott is also the company's Safety Director and is OSHA certified.
During his free time along with his family, Scott Gronewold enjoys racing motorcycles.
Eva Vazzana
Business Manager
Eva joined Emerald Metal Products in 1995 performing general office duties and later assumed a more comprehensive role in administration and accounting. She is currently Business Manager and handles all accounting, controller, human resources, personnel and payroll matters. She reviews and administers contracts, insurance and certified payroll for all projects and addresses all legal questions. She is a notary public and has completed her certification in Advanced Paralegal Studies.
She has several years experience as an elementary school teacher and in performing music, having earned degrees in both from USC. In her free time, she is a free-lance musician and writes and records music in her home studio.
